The first scene in the movie starts at 12:00 and proceeds to tell a part of the story. Then it suddenly rewinds to that same 12:00 and the second viewpoint is told and so on. By the time all 5 vantage points are told, the viewer can put together the full picture of the story, the drama. Yet the script for the movie starts at page 1 and proceeds in a linear fashion to the last page.
I think that our Father sometimes tells His prophetic stories this way. He is after all outside of time. For Him to run three simultaneous vantage points in Revelation would make perfect sense.
It occurred to me that Revelation could be “scripted” like a movie. It is after all the grandest of epic stories. As I wrote out the descriptors of the entities that were speaking or taking action, I realized that they fall into categories just like a script would. The connotation of “strong angel” or “loud voice” were actually telling us what kind of entity was proclaiming or acting. Try it for yourself and see if I have it right.
As I did that, it became evident that the “voice” that John first hears is Michael who is the MC of the entire epic story. The one who John finally sees towards the end of the script. The one whose glory he says illumines the entire planet. The one who he twice tries to fall at the feet of to worship him. The one who twice remarks “do not do that. I am a fellow servant of yours. Worship God”.
Interesting that our Father sometimes veils His word to us. Most have little interest in trying to figure it out. The very bright often are too smart to fully rely on the Holy Spirit for help in the understanding. Some are just arrogant. Some are sincere and are true followers of Jesus. It is those who our Father will enlighten at the right time. He will pull of the second biggest rope a dope since the cross.
Advantage God!
Father McKenziehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00226770491282866509noreply@blogger.com
